Choices leave marks.
Promises, debts, rescued strangers, ignored warnings, and old names matter. The world reacts.
Spoiler-Free Campaign Primer
Scalethorn is a Dungeons & Dragons setting nine hundred years after a war nobody truly won. The dragons left. The scars stayed. The future is still being negotiated.
What Is Scalethorn?
Scalethorn is not a world in crisis. It is a world that survived one. Ancient choices still shape weather, law, faith, trade, and the way people look at anyone touched by draconic blood.
You are not expected to know everything before play begins. Your character probably does not either. This site gives you the public version: what a well-travelled adult might know, what a new player can use, and what will help you arrive in Anchorage with a reason to care.
At The Table
Promises, debts, rescued strangers, ignored warnings, and old names matter. The world reacts.
Storms follow old battle lines. Maps disagree overnight. Some shrines have opinions.
Most histories are incomplete. Some are convenient. Many factions are sure they are the reasonable ones.
Where Play Begins
The campaign opens in the harbour city of Anchorage during the Festival of Tide: lanterns over the water, ledgers in every office, relic divers in the taverns, and strangers everywhere.
